On Tuesday 4 November 2008, Barack Obama was elected the 44th President of the United States of America. We must not loose sight of the importance of this historic event, nor what this means for the future.
20 years ago he left his job as a Finance Writer to work as a Community Organiser championing the cause of those who were powerless to see their way through the fog of the social and economic realities of the day.
