Profile Information

Your Profile
Hi my name is Opal.

I am an experienced Human Resources Senior Administrator with over 35 years office experienced gained within a busy Human Resources environment including extensive knowledge of all types of office procedures and systems (manual and computerised). My major strengths include excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, flexibility combined with a thorough knowledge of HR issues.

When I am not working I love planning and organising just about anything including group theatre trips with friends and family, fundraising events, get-togethers, meals at restaurants, holidays and short breaks and birthday/Christmas celebrations.

The most significant event that I took lead in organising was my father’s funeral (church, burial and reception) in May/June 2012. This involved everything from liaising with funeral directors to menu planning! Although a very sad occasion the feedback received after/during the event was very positive. I will shortly be making arrangements for my sister’s 50th birthday celebration.

I am passionate about all aspects of events management from negotiating prices and researching venues to setting up processes for record keeping and composing letters. Just bringing people together and witnessing them having a good time puts a smile on my face!!

During my working career, I have co-ordinated annual Long Service Staff Award Ceremonies and successfully managed all details of the event and hospitality. I have also organised and delivered staff induction courses.

I feel that there are so many people in the community who are not fully aware about what’s going on out there and this is where I would like to make a difference. Is there anyone out there who could do with some help with the promoting /organising of events and businesses?? I would love to help you. I enjoy reading, going to the cinema (including preview screenings – saw ‘Selma’ last night), eating out, going to concerts and parties, travelling and general home comforts.

I look forward to hearing from you!

Abuse in odd-lots trade

Posted by Carl Tatham on April 26, 2019 at 11:08 0 Comments

For this purpose, my article of choice revolves around the New York Stock Exchange that has been seeking to set equal opportunities for small investors who in most instances don’t get the best of benefit out trading small lots (0-99 shares) like investors trading one (100 shares) or more lots. As per the article, “the exchange has an odd lot system to ensure that small trades, which is priced separately from larger orders, do not get left behind by the “block” trades sent to the big board by…
